The Alliance for Safe Biologic Medicines is an organization composed of diverse healthcare groups and individuals—from patients to physicians, biotechnology companies that develop innovative and biosimilar medicines and others who are working together to ensure patient safety is at the forefront of the biosimilars policy discussion.
The membership list and steering committee reflect the wide range of voices within the healthcare community.
The coalition ultimately strives to position itself to be an authoritative resource center of information for the healthcare and policy communities.
Generics and Biosimilars Initiative (GaBI) was founded in 2008 by Pro Pharma Communications International.
GaBI aims to raise the scientific status of generic and biosimilar medicines, and to provide comprehensive high quality, scientifically sound, reliable, well-documented and up-to-date information about generic and biosimilar medicines both in print and electronically in an open access format.
GaBI Online was launched in 2009 and GaBI Journal was launched in 2012.
The first GaBI Educational Workshop started in 2013.
